1.Here are 7 habits that might be hindering your ability to build your dream body.
Not Prioritizing Sleep
If you’re not sleeping enough, you’re going to struggle to lose fat and build muscle.
Your body needs sleep.
Make sure you’re getting 8+ hours of high-quality sleep every night.
2. Drinking Coffee Before Water
When you wake up, you haven’t had any water for likely 8 hours or more.
Your body will be dehydrated.
The first thing you should do when you wake up is drink a big glass of water.
Then you can have your coffee.
3. Not Walking Enough
Humans evolved to move. A lot.
If you’re not taking at least 9000 steps each day, you need to change this.
Walking is one of the best tools for fat loss, and it will significantly improve your overall health.
4. Slacking on Protein
No matter your goals, you need to be paying attention to your protein intake.
Aim for 1g of protein per pound of body weight, every single day.
Protein is the building block of our bodies.
We need it to build muscle, and we need it to lose fat.
5. Snacking
Grazing throughout the day will sabotage your efforts.
Our digestive systems need a break.
And our fat-making processes will stay on if we never go for a few hours without consuming calories.
Aim for 3–4 hour blocks during the day where you’re not consuming calories.
6. Avoiding Heavy Weights
Humans were built to lift heavy things on a daily basis.
Whether your goal is fat loss, muscle gain, or both, you need to be lifting heavy stuff 3 times a week.
Loading your muscles is one of the most effective ways to build a lean and strong body.
7. Sitting for Over an Hour at A Time
You’ve heard by now that sitting is slowly killing you.
And it’s true.
Sitting for long periods is detrimental to your health and significantly increases your risk of death from all causes.
Make an effort to stand more often.
